your standpoint is so different from mine that i have no choice but to accept it. for me, though, fictional violence is only invigorating due to its proximity to irl violence. it can go darker, harder, deeper, etc. the same way that illustrated porn is thrilling for being an exaggeration of actual sex. my attraction to real violence is the only thing drawing me towards fictional violence.
