I remember feeling stuff I couldn't understand when I was 4 in 1989 when I saw the music video for Don't Come Around Here no More, with the girl being turned into a cake and eaten like Alice. And in 1994, when I read a horror story when I was staying summer camp, about everyone in a girls cabin being murdered and mutilated with a couple graphic details. I was always fascinated with girls being killed in horror movies. I didn't really pull it all together until I was sixteen, and discovered the art of Dolcett. But yeah, definitely the seeds were there at a young age.
