Thank you for the reccomendation. It had more /f/ type stuff in it that I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it.

After looking into it, if you live in the US, you have the right to refuse anesthesia. The doctor, how ever, also has the right to refuse to treat you if you refuse anesthesia. So it is in theory possible to get your teeth removed with no anesthesia or a low dose, but you've got your work cut out for you.
