I love gunshot wounds to the head in which the victim's face and skull are still mostly intact but you can see brain matter spilling out of the exit wound. Especially love when the death is fresh and the victim is still twitching/moaning/having agonal respirations. I'm not as much of a fan when the head is entirely obliterated down to the bottom jaw. I like to see the weird contorted faces with wide fixed pupils indicative of fatal brain trauma.

I don't see a whole lot of this but maybe I just don't know where to find it. I'm teaching myself to draw my own stuff and there isn't a whole lot of reference material that doesn't involve me taking from real gore which I'd prefer not to have to do.
