I switched the default theme to 2010s style. The original wakaba theme was renamed and is still accessible from the style selector for those who prefer

I think anyone who cares to use a custom script would already have a browser extension installed for it
There are some more priority to-dos for javascript right now, such as enlarging webp support as noted by >>24055
