Yes, what I'd like to try next is a "core population" system.

And two of the children of these couples inherit this "core" property.

As I said, my simulation is currently very simple - there's basically only birth and death ;)
I'd like to add a job-system, and jobs produce (conventional) food, and...
by then, the code will be so complex that I'll lose interest... -_-
