When I was a kid, I saw an old B&W movie where two men get captured by a tribe of Amazonian women, tied to vertical poles, and threatened with being cooked alive, before escaping in some comical way. To my innocent childhood mind, this was an extraordinary and exotic event, and it immediately became the basis for my first couple erotic fantasies. I remember the movie starring either Abbott and Costello, or Laurel and Hardy, but no such scene exists in any movie with either duo, so I have no idea what the movie actually was.

The rest of my sexual development was very vanilla and fortunately trauma-free, and I pretty much forgot about those first fantasies in favor of more conventional ones until I happened across some of the original Dolcett art several years ago as an adult. As for what I think of all this? Those of us who hang out on GC are definitely fucked up, and have some extremely non-standard kinks, but as long as we keep it firmly in the realm of fantasy, and don't allow this stuff to taint our IRL relationships, I don't see any problem with it. In fact, I've never handled blood and gore very well IRL, but I've found that writing erotica about it has helped me to not immediately faint at the sight of blood, so in a way this has been therapeutic.
