since motherless is gone (

), more of us are looking for places where to put content.
among the reasons are file size limits on GUROchan (large videos, image collections...)
and the rules about content on GUROchan (real stuff, photorealistic AI...).
some information on external file-hosts:

a quick suggestion about the nature of your uploads:
given the expected content it is a good idea, to put it in a container, e.g. a zip-file and use a password.
many of you do that already. the encryption of zip-files is pretty strong.
but the password itself is worth thinking about. often "
gurochan
" is used, did that myself. it comes natural.
same on other websites, PW = name of the site. this is not such a great idea!
the password is not very strong and could be cracked by a dictionary attack or brute force using a powerful machine,
even though the encryption is strong. now, the content inside is likely too hot even for GUROchan and one of the reasons
for using an external host is keeping the board out of legal trouble. imagine law enforcement cracking those files, finding what's inside
and the password often pointing back here. that is less than optimal.
Please use a strong password, or at least the title of your file or something else unsuspicious. thank you!
