As it is now, it takes long time to load threads with many replies. The software GUROchan is using has a feature to page threads, which we would like to hear your opinions about.
It has been added to /g/ as a trial. This feature significantly decreases the loading times, but also comes with hassle of having to change pages in threads every so often, as this makes it impossible to view all posts at once on threads larger threads.
So please go to /g/, check the feature out, and tell us if you would like this site-wide implemented or not implemented at all.

Man it sucks. There isn't even much difference in loading times as far as I can notice, and the hassle comes with paging is really not worth it. Id rather wait 5 seconds for loading whole thread than having to switch between pages for every few posts

Pages are way to small I think they should be like 100 posts each and also for more convenience they should start in reverse. aka, when you click reply you start with the last page and then go to the beginning
also to keep everyone happy it will not hurt to leave option to view all thread in one page, because those pages are only useful for people who are coming back to check for new posts and they don't need to load previous content which they already seen
Those who want to see everything probably will prefer to see everything in one page rather than getting interrupted at random places.

Really hate it, sorry. Clicking the 'All' button doesn't do anything

Did this get turned back off? The hanging thread in /g/ still shows every post going back to March when I click Reply, and still brings my computer to a crawl while it loads.

Hey there. I’m the one who made the hanging thread.
Quick Question.
Since I made a MASSIVE thread. Will it take awhile for it to transfer to your new software?
Or will it be unavailable until further notice?
If so then sorry for making a huge thread.
But I ain’t gonna lie. I will keep working it. Once I can post again.

On my comp the hanging thread never finishes loading, and when the paging was briefly tried I couldn't get it to work either (like, there was no page 1).
In the meantime, would it be possible to implement a "Last 100 posts" option?
(and perhaps from *there* an option to see as pages rather than the whole thread?)
