GUROchan Chat, but with more features: https://chatproxy.chat/

GUROchan Chat 2 is a different interface for the same conversation that takes place on GUROchan Chat Prime. Same messages. Same people chatting with each other.

When I first posted about this alternate chat room, I made a point of emphasizing that it's my own personal project, not something sponsored by this website. That's still mostly true, but...

I have gotten some great official cooperation from GUROchan so that my chat room and the original chat room now work much better together.

For one thing, there's no more need to bother with Tampermonkey and installing a userscript. You can now go directly to https://chatproxy.chat/ and not worry that your posts will look strange in the original chat room with "CHAT②" as the main screen name, and your own desired screen name prepended to your message like this: 《screen name》

The second big thing that just started working today: When you use the GUROchan Chat 2 ability to edit or delete your own messages, those changes will now been seen in the original chat room too.

To recap from my original post about why you might want to use GUROchan Chat 2 :

• A more up-to-date UI that you might prefer.
• You can paste images from your clipboard directly into your messages.
• Drag and drop images, video, and other files into your messages.
• Other users can see thumbnail images of images you post (which are opened at full size when clicked on, of course).
• You can have private Direct Message conversations with other chatters.
• You can edit and delete your own messages.
• Selectable light and dark color themes. There’s even a theme called “Like It’s 1999” that will restore much of the... um, let’s call it “nostalgic” look of the original GUROchat. If you’re into that sort of thing.
• WYSIWYG text entry for using features like italic and bold text, without needing to use BBCode.
• Easy access to many emoji, and more flexible kaomoji.

Caveats? One fewer than the last time...

• My web site becomes one more website with access to your IP address and your tripcode (if you use one), should that raise your privacy and security concerns.
• Your private DMs are theoretically readable by me, but I encrypt them without providing any easy way for me to decode them, and they're fully deleted after two hours.
