that is, in my opinion, the essence of /meat/. he sees it as jarring, but i see it as endearing. there is an often-overlooked connection between these two seeming opposites that some would assume would break the law of non-contradiction, yet it remains perfectly internally consistent. i find that connection to be the core of the beauty of /meat/, and most guro communities in general. it's almost philosophical, yet nobody needs to think of it in such a way to feel it's effect.

The only valid criticism of the site I've seen is there isn't enough discussion going on, but that's mostly because no one ever starts any. There is a public discord server (linked at the front page) which lets everyone see new posts. Thanks to that, GUROchan's staff is able to moderate the site very quickly as long as they are online.

/meat/bro, lia is interesting, and i am not against ryona going both ways so to speak, but i think there is a difference between edgy and /meat/. mixing non/meat/ into /meat/ could dilute what our thread represents. ask him for more details to make sure if we do include her that she at least fits the description enough. with that said, i am not against people posting instances where chuubas that we wouldn't consider to be "/meat/chuubas" do something /meat/-like, such as when someone posted the gura cannibalism stream. as long as we acknowledge that they aren't "/meat/chuubas" unless they fit the proper criteria, i am more than fine with increasing the number of topics we can discuss.

It's less about the topics and more about or dwindling numbers. Our regulars were put off by the constant purge and someost track of us jumping between /jp/, /trash/, stealths.

one of our more recent stealth threads reached bump limit. it had 60 ips, which someone guessed was closer to 40 unique ips. recently, many of us were banned while trying to take over the janny's precious lolcow bait threads. don't assume the fact that our thread isn't very populated after a purge means our threads has "dwindling numbers" by any stretch. we just need to make sure to get our posters to be comfortable with our reorganization threads such as this one. the divegrass participation should hopefully inform a larger number of people that /vtwbg/ is a place they can contact us if need be, which will hopefully be disseminated to enough places to cover most niches, so by all accounts, all we need to do is survive a little and those who were lost shall be found. as for those who were put off from us for the banning, besides not getting banned, there really isn't anything we can do about it. if our threads survive long enough, we have the numbers, we just need to get it through to the jannies.
no doomposting from now on, by the way. not only are they almost always incorrect, but they never help anything at all. stop thinking that way. be realistic for optimisms sake. if things are truly down, don't speak about it unless you have a solution in mind, or unless you think asking about it could lead to a solution being found.
