Will creating a mastodon instance help the development of Gurochan
    community? Some points:

    - For image posting: comparing to split posts into boards and threads,
tag systems are more flexible and better for search(like image
    posts)

    - For discussion: lighter than creating a thread, users may be more
willing to express their ideas by toots without disturbing others.

    - Popularity: mastodon itself is kinda popular, and a default modern
web frontend may better attract new users.

    - Dedicated server: comparing with using existing mastodon instances,
a dedicated one for guro contents is better for target users to
gather, better site policy control, etc.

    - Compatibility: maybe just by writing a bot to sync messages from
    Tinyboard to Mastodon.

    - Federation: create other instances to increase the robustness and
    data reliability of the community.

    - Drawbacks: maybe not very suitable for literature or long and
    complicated discussion.

    any ideas?

I don't think so, you are most likely to find guro fans on imageboards and other types of totally anonymous places. With a social media, you are able to track posts of any person and a lot of us don't like that.
    >>
I agree that anonymity is very important. I think it is not hard to allow user to post anonymously, or just allow creation of anonymous accounts.

I want to focus on the logic of user interaction. What I found is anonymous imageboard-like platforms receive much lower user activity comparing to some private chat groups like discord or telegram. And maybe exploring other possible types of communication system can motivate users to share their ideas.

Most social media people into guro are SH kids that would hate 90% of the content on this site. Gurochan's more on the extreme side, twitterinas and the like are really only partial to lite-ryona.

Okay, and that's not a good thing. Don't give in to the social media propaganda. I used to care about site activity, but then I remembered I hate everyone and the modern internet. I'd rather have a website where I can relate to the few people that use it, instead of another imageboard like 4chan run by rabble rousing brats and artificial intelligence.

There is already an instance called https://ryona.agency/

It's Pleroma, not Mastodon. The fediverse isn't just Mastodon.
    >>
Btw, there is software for federated chans via activity pub (protocol for fediverse and mastodon) called FChannel
    https://github.com/FChannel0/FChannel-Server
    Still being developed here: https://git.usagi.reisen/fchan

BTW. https://darkart.space/ exists and I have an account there.
It doesn't get much activity though last time I checked. And it doesn't federate

Since when do you have to make an account to view art on mastodon? fuckin lame, I hate social media
