Can we have, like, a separate board for AI stuff? I don't want to see it. Nobody actually imagined that, nobody told that story, it's just words put together in a likely order / images mixed together to look arguably coherent. I respect that some people like it or don't mind, so let them have a board!
    >>
No, but we can permaban aifaggots off the site :3
    >>
    That'd work
    >>
    >>15549
Why? So this place can be deader than it already is? A different board can at least act like a quarantine and a potential judge of activity.
    >>
    >>15564
AI provides nothing of value, I'd prefer ten good posters over a million AI shills :)
    >>
    >>15569
Well nobody makes you go to other boards that are made for people who are not you. That's kind of the entire point of having separate boards.
    >>
    >>15580
I like every board though. AI """""""""""""""""""""art""""""""""""""""""""" is just plain garbage, it's not even a taste thing. It's valueless trash.
    >>
If AI boards are getting the most responses then one can only assume that's what most people on /art/ like. There are still non-AI artists actively posting there, it's just that it generally takes less time to create an AI image than draw an original product, thus AI threads get bumped more often.

In any case, a bunch of artists have abandoned their threads here and moved to platforms such as Pixiv, where there is better separation between AI and non-AI. Besides, when you see responses like these on drawthread it makes you wonder why anyone would bother posting their stuff here at all.
    >>
    >>15582
that logic doesn't work on an anonymous site lmao it could be 2 people having a very intense conversation while everyone else doesnt even go to /art/ because its flooded by ai stuff (like I am avoiding it right now)
    >>
    >>15581
Well aren't you the special little snowflake. I avoid /s/ and /f/ because I'm not interested and a somewhat grossed out, and barely go to /fur/ because I'm just mostly not interested. And there's no antagonism between me and people who make that kind of art because we don't get in one another's way.

WHile the problem with AI art is that it's flooding the boards and drowning out the non-AI stuff )=
    >>
Are AIfags really scaring off gc's actual artists? kaguya can you just ban these fucking retards? it's probably like one asshole spammer anyway, no one actually prefers ai over real art unless they're mentally handicapped
    >>
    >>15588
ai art is more or less the same as normal art until you get to the fine details like hands and what not. just make a containment thread and stop being such a faggot, everyone else ignores the stuff we don't like and moves on. with our lives.
    >>
    >>15604
its really only "the same" if you have incredibly low standards and just want to jack off to the first titty and gore pic you see
    >>
While AI is pretty terrible for now but it should not be completely banned because it is rather about testing and developing technology to make it better.
There is no harm in seeing few pictures on GC just to have some idea what it can do and looks like things are improving slowly.

personally, i get off to ideas, not images, so as long as the image conveys something interesting and unique, i don't care. that isn't the reason i am ok with ai art, though. the reason is because, as someone who enjoys guro from both an artistic and fetishistic perspective, certain ai-generated images remind me of the classic ero-guro nansensu art such as pic related. uniquely for us gurofags, an image being grotesque and confusing only adds to the charm. if you hate it so much, stop paying so much attention to it.
    >>
    >>15607
It might improve but it won't get better until it's clearly separated and isn't pretending to be something it isn't. Think of a guy with an early photocamera bragging that he painted this: no you fucking didnt buddy
    >>
Like imagine if blown up photographs were mixed in with actual oil paintings in a museum or whatever. Oh what technical skill, strange composition though, is this a new artistic movement? THere must be meaning in every small detail in the background! Oh wait it's a fucking photo nevermind that
    >>
    >>15628
Real easy solution to this: separate it into a separate board where people post /AI/ art and develop the art of using AI to make interesting shit. It could be cool af! Just don't mix it in with people who are making their first humble forays into mspaint (1000x more effort than your average AI "art maker")

containment is absolutely a good option, i just wonder whether or not it's worth creating an entirely separate board over. if that's easier than having them mixed, then so be it.
