That site's probably just as bad as LaL when it comes to censorship. I've never really browsed ATF that much, but I fucking hate little angels for banning guro early on. Imagine if they hadn't- so much loli-guro could've been preserved.
OP, guro's niche like all these guys said, but the best way to find new guro is: find a recent doujin event that caters to guro (real guro, not lite-ryona). From there, you'll find artists; locate their personal websites/social media profiles, and take a peekaloo at their mutuals and favorites. From there, you'll find similar, much more undiscovered artists.
The centralization of Twitter used to make finding new art convenient at least, but since elongated muskrat has taken charge, tons of artists (including a lot of my personal favorites), have been banned off the site, and now they're squatting on stupid ass mastodon clones. We should really just reset and go back to webrings.

Pixiv if you know how to use it well is quite good.
There is a lot of guro on sadpanda (exhentai), mostly pixiv repost, sometime fanbox and decent compilations.
Even archives from old gurochan.net

When I registered on ATF forums I asked in the introduction section which of my content was okay. They said guro was okay as long as I have a warning and hide pictures in spoilers. So I'm doing and didn't have problems with that so far. They said alterations were not okay though, but oh well. I've pretty much quit making them anyway since I can now just make renders with Koikatsu.

Does anyone know where Chinese artists post their stuff? I know they eventually end up here through e-hentai or whatever but I want to find the original source. Is the Chinese DeviantArt?

As I remember from pixiv, guro is completely banned in China and even treated a criminal offense which scared a lot of artists on pixiv. Not sure about plain porn either.
