so sexy. i’m a little bit more into exposed hearts, but i still love seeing lungs rise and fall with breath (esp in open heart surgery videos).

The heart is for sure the star of the show. But it’s still pretty hot to see a pretty pink pair of lungs moving about.

Any thoughts how fast someone would be breathing if they were just cut open?

if you puncture someone's chest and let air in, lungs deflate like balloons and person suffocates

but maybe in this situation if you only cut one side but leave another lung intact (if that it even possible) maybe it would work.

also that person would be breathing very rapidly but without any use until they die. so you would need some kind of breathing assistance

Of course in guro fantasy this is not that important to be anatomically accurate so if something looks sexy then if can be that way :)
just some accuracy in my opinion is nice to mention from time to time as form of bragging about your biology knowledge :)

The base image is done. This is the girl who is breathing after being cut open. She isn’t dying, but she is far from screaming in pain. I don’t think her calm demeanor fully conveys her stunted emotions

Actually her stunned emotions are conveyed very well. So that she doesn't even feel pain or feels dizzy

But in that image I imagine her trying to breathe slow and deep, with her chest expanding and contracting while lungs themselves do not do expand much but just move from side to side fully exposing her heart then squishing it as she breathes

the hole in her chest would get bigger or smaller this way exposing more of her lungs.

If she is the hospital setting there could be a tube going to her nose or into her bandaged neck which provides her with breathing assistance(without being too noticeable to impact picture looks) and then it would be logical that her lungs are just breathing like normal while her chest is not moving at all.

Maybe she is under anesthesia and sleepwalking after surgery ?
and she is obviously standing in front of the mirror so she should be looking at her insides.
