Their Dutch hosting provider shut them down after the Dutch authorities demanded it. But nothing says they can't restore the site, assuming they have backups. It's up to the owners.

They put a message up. They said they're reviewing their content and will remove illegal content and then they'll be back up so that's good, but I hope they aren't going to crack down even more on anything even slightly controversial.

As of right now, they're up to 1/3rd already. That's about how much of my gore collection on that site has been pruned. At this point I'm glad they started cracking down on gore a while back - it made me start saving anything I didn't want to lose.

Yeah, almost all of my animation videos seem to have disappeared from motherless (and one image gallery) I can't really tell why some stuff got taken down , and other stuff that's almost identical in content remained, it's perplexing. Not sure whether I should reupload it or not?

Check back now, the "almost-identical" stuff will probably be gone too. In the last week and a half the stuff that's disappeared has gone from 1/3rd of my collection to 2/3rds. By the end of next month there'll be hardly anything left.
