Proposal: How about a voluntary makeshift tagging system that moderators can edit?

A guy who was bothered by the loli and fake CP content that sometime appears on this site (who became frustrated and deleted his own post about the subject) got me thinking about a way we might spare users who don't want to see such content, and (more important to me) help spare Gurochan from unwanted attention from people who might want to crack down on Gurochan.
My proposal, to avoid deep changes in the way the board software works here, is that people could voluntarily add tags, simply as text, to the subject lines of their posts.
Those tags could be something like #loli, #pedo, #realistic, #scat, etc. And, to make this system way more effective, we could
let moderators edit subject lines
of posts to add key tags when those tags weren't there to begin with.
I wouldn't want or expect anyone to go crazy with tagging, the way they do at, say, allthefallen.moe. The most important use for tagging would be for flagging subject matter many users are likely to
not
want to see. (As opposed to the kind of tagging that allthefallen.moe has, tagging that facilitates users with particular cravings... say, finding all images involving one boy and one girl having sex with a unicorn on a beach.)
The existing regex filter could easily work with these kinds of tags. We could perhaps add a filter specifically for these content tags which doesn't require JavaScript to be enabled, and doesn't require knowledge of regexes.
Even though I personally like photorealistic loli content (and have created some myself), such material is something I'll admit is the kind most likely to draw unwanted attention to Gurochan.
Though I'm a bit hesitant to propose this, perhaps it would be best if such content were
hidden by default
? An opt-in kind of thing rather than opt out?
On one hand, I don't like the idea that there could be posts here that some people never see, even though they might enjoy them, because they don't know they have to go out of their way to opt in to see them.
On the other hand, however, it might be a good thing if anyone casually browser this site never sees that stuff to get upset about it.
What do other people thing about this?

While I agree with the idea of adding tags to content to help people find what they like and avoid what they dislike, and I generally wouldn’t object to moderators having the power to add tags (that being far better than outright censorship), I have to point out that voluntary tagging in the form of “story codes” didn’t save ASSTR. People like the poster who threatened us all with his (or her?) white van, who try to claim that everything they like is “art” and everything they don’t like should be banned, still managed to impose permanent censorship on the entire ASSTR site. I don’t know how to fight them, but I’m glad to see he/she deleted the threat and left.

I'm not really interested in fighting anyone at this point, just in reducing the odds of people causing trouble for this site, and making the site more inviting to people who aren't trying to censor the place, but who just want to reduce their own exposure to certain things.

yes by default block Loli content, and why not in the settings activate an option for unlock all the rest of the content. It seems to be a good compromise between creative freedom and people's tolerance for certain content.

i think you're conveying the message better than i could. i was trying to figure out what kind of space/community is this and at some point i was left with the impression that it really might be predominantly sketchy, because if the majority of its userbase consists of people who knowingly seek out morally questionable and often illegal content, and the admins/mods don't seem to mind that, then there's inherently a higher risk of the presence of malevolent actors among both the users and the team. so it was not just a moral concern, but also a matter of legitimacy and security for me. so at some point my cynicism got to me and i decided to leave the issue alone.
the FBI van was a joke, a common reference to the dangers which people dealing with questionable content on the interent may face and not a threat on my behalf.
i decided to write this, because i regret deleting the post a bit, because it could've served as a warning to those who are also confused about the intentions of this site.
anyway, yeah, i dunno... do whatever you want i guess for as long as you know what you're doing and why xD
btw here's the poll

Utterly pointless suggestion.
For the moralfags, get a life.
For the guys who live in oppressive shitholes where a drawing could get you thrown into a gulag, VPNs are your friend.
You're concerned about "security" and "sketchiness"? It's a fucking imageboard, man. An imageboard for necrosadists and wristcutters. Grow up and go to fucking Reddit or Discord, or some other platform for whiny faggots.

Realistic gens are already mixed with the non-realistic ones on /ai/, which imo is just fine. If someone doesn't want to see realistic images while masturbating, they can handpick images they like, save them to their computer, and masturbate while browsing their files locally.

Huh? ASSTR was not censored. It went down because the admin barely maintains it. It's done this before but, unlike motherless, it wasn't censored.
It'll probably be back up in 5 years, then down again a year after that.
