    First of all, I'm generally happy that lots of people are now using the report system, especially reporting on the annoying spam we get here that we still can't automatically filter out.

    On the other hand, as someone who needs to approve or dismiss reports, I'm fairly often left wondering... Why?

    Spam reports are blazingly obvious most of the time. No need to type in a reason for those.

    I can fairly often figure out why someone perhaps thought a post was off topic, or maybe looked too AI but wasn't posted in the AI forum... things like that.

    But if your reason to report something is not obvious, and you haven't typed in a reason to report that post, expect the report to be dismissed. We aren't mind readers 😄

    Some people have reported on posts with comments like, "This is so hot!"

    Don't do that.

    I kinda sorta appreciate the enthusiasm, but come on guys, the reporting system is clearly not for expression of approval.
