I will try to remember as much as I can. I think the strongest memory and one you will most want to hear is a young lady I was friends with in high school and afterwards.

I knew her from algebra class. I seem to recall another friend from down the bayou had been dating her. She was half-Filipino, a bit plump, wore glasses, and was absolutely adorable to me and had an irresistible beauty and charm. She was always doing odd or eccentric things at school, like laying on the floor in the middle of class, and was a bit of an exhibitionist. One day she admitted to me that she liked to go without panties or a bra sometimes at school. She derived a kinky sort of pleasure from it. She had the most amazing voice to me too, a mild Southern accent with a gentle and sultry inflection. I do not know how else to describe it, but it was never grating, and somehow always emotionally transparent, and very erotic.

Anyway, it was not a problem until after high school, but she was anorexic and bulimic. She would go through depressive phases where she would starve herself and regurgitate whatever she consumed out of obligation to company. I watched her lose weight and gain it back many times. Quite a few of those required her to be hospitalized for malnutrition. It bothered me greatly and made me wish she would just accept her body. I always tried to reassure her that she was beautiful, and it was true. I think her mother and stepfather had been very cruel to her about her weight as a child. Everyone in general was very harsh and rejecting of her for her weight. She was just naturally endomorphic.

She was also a massive "/b/tard". I guess that dates this. She was into Guro too, real gore. She had hundreds and hundreds of photographs saved on her hard drive that she showed me. I never judged people or said negative things, so I suppose that was why she trusted me so much.

Her younger brother was psychotic, and I do not mean that in a joking or exaggerated sense. She told me about how, at a younger age, he had grabbed a kitchen knife and she had to hold up in the bathroom with the door locked as he stabbed the wood repeatedly. He would catch small animals and bring them to his playhouse to kill and dissect.

I did not piece this together until a while afterwards, but I believe she was schizotypal. She did not have what one could call social anxiety so much as just odd fears and prejudices of different people for seemingly irrational reasons. She liked to hold grudges.

Probably the most alarming thing I remember is when she drove on a trip to some people she met online in Kansas. I am not certain if she ever told anyone else.

On the way back home from Kansas, roughly an 850 mile trip, she had not had much sleep. I believe she had told me she stayed up for several days.

She had vivid hallucinations upon the road. She was not sure where, probably somewhere in Arkansas or Mississippi, but she began seeing dead bodies in the trees along the rode in her headlights, and fires off in the distance, wrecks of cars.

She began seeing the figure of a woman who looked dead and had rows of sharp teeth like a shark. She would appear in the woods, then in the undercarriage of the 18 wheelers in front of her.

A mass of smokey fog appeared on the windshield. She said it swirled and swayed into elegant shapes, which she found mesmorizing. Then very suddenly it became the face of the "dead woman".

The woman told her something like, "If you don't find your way home, I'll kill you." Then, "If you don't find your way home, I'll kill your family too, and I'll make sure you stay lost."

Then at some point my friend felt she had defeated the "dead woman". After which, she was instantly in the parking lot of a strip mall north of our town, not too far from my house. She had no recollection of having driven there.

When she arrived at her home, she walked into her bedroom, and said she swore her two cats had been on the bed talking to each other, as in a conversation with human language, and upon walking in, as she explained it, "You know when you walk into a room of people talking to each other and they all stop to look at you?"

Then she took a shower, and the luffa sponge, once soaked and covered in soap, appeared to have small hatching eggs all over it. She sad it was kind of pretty.

Then some time later her mother gave her a warm glass of milk, and she fell asleep, which was the end of that episode.

An entire military enlistment later, I had no seen her in years. She randomly decided to show up at my house one day while I was working on something up front. She seemed happy. I have not seen her since then.
