Rebecca stood up and went to the living room. She placed the sapphire on the table and close the shades on all of the windows. She didn't want anyone seeing her like this.

Once that was done, she returned to her phone, which had received a message from Paula. 'I'll be right over. Give me 30 min.'

Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief. Now all she had to worry about was explaining all this to Paula when she arrives. She returned to the living room and picked up the gem.

She grew curious as to how it could read her thoughts. The excuse that it was magic didn't sit too well with her, but that's all she would be getting for now.

The sapphire then began to glow. Rebecca hadn't imagined anything! It must be triggering a random change! She felt the familiar tingle she felt all too often today.

When it was done, she noticed her vision was now even lower. In fact, she only had one field of vision! "What happened?" She said, noticing that she heard two voices.

Her mouth and eyes must have swapped. This was really disorienting for her.
