Pretty much everyone mentioned in these posts are congenital amputees who never knew the concept of moving arms and legs, thus they learned how to do things their own way. This is vastly different than someone who was born with a complete set of limbs and then lost them. Thus, their capabilities of moving and other actions are completely dependent on their motivation and willpower to gain some independence back. I've seen videos of quadruple amputees who stay in a wheelchair most of the time and have a loved one help them out of it.
Just because there are videos out there showing what a quadruple amputee can do doesn't mean every amputee has those capabilities.
