That's not a bad comparison to what I was thinking here. And I will say that some of your themes have rubbed off on the idea here. The whole casual side to snuff and it being fun... But that's only part of it for me.

They don't look at this as a punishment, or an ending. They are ok with it because this is how they contribute to the society. (Or The Community as I've 'named' it) It's a purpose and a goal in their life to be able to contribute and so if that contribution is the be snuffed to make more available to others, then they should embrace that. Even if only in a 'reluctant' fashion.

That's because training for those topics are relative small in base models. You can train Lora's to specifically train those types of images if that's what you want. I'm going to assume you're new so as a reminder don't post realistic AI images, they will get removed. If you don't have a beefy enough PC to train Lora's (I can with a gtx3060 12gb, but I think I'm near the minimum) you can gather training data and ask someone to train them for you from this board.

I think you are on to something regarding a change in culture. For new guro artists to appear there have to be magazines that are willing to publish that kind of material. Otherwise even artists interested in drawing these types of stories simply won't do it for perfectly understandable economic reasons. Maybe a doujinshi here and there but those are much more likely to fly under the radar. The real old-school artists like Maruo, Hino and Hanawa published in Garo magazine and that is long gone. Then the newer artists (Uziga, Saizou, Machino, Kesshousui, Kago etc.) flourished in the late 90ies and early 00s thanks to the various long-running guro magazines published by Sanwa Comics (Ayla, Ayla Deluxe). Nothing like that exists currently. We got very close with Erogros, a guro anthology published by Moog Comics, but that got cancelled in 2018 after only 5 issues.

And you're also correct in terms of personal taste and preferences. Mine lean heavily towards a more "old-school" style and any type of CG artwork usually doesn't work for me. Not a diss, just different tastes for different folks.
