The reason I asked is because you are an artist that has a good amount of skill in what you draw. It is clear to anyone that studies your artwork that you have put alot of time into perfecting your craft. You mix cute character designs with lewd bits very well. You go the extra mile to make anatomy look proper, and also experiment with different body types and poses. It is of my personal experience (in the furry fandom) that artists with your level of skill *usually* don't draw heavy fetishes like gutting but rather stay tame with their tastes only diving into light fetish material. Reasons? Sometimes it is a matter of the artist's comfort level in drawing such things. Other times a popular artist will not draw "extreme" fetishes because they do not want to offend and risk losing followers, and/or attract the wrong people.

If you look around hard enough, there is usually a standard among accomplished artists who take commissions. More often than not the following fetishes are off limits: gore/guro, vore, vomit, scat, piss, diapers, extreme hyper, herms, etc.. I would classify these as implicit niche fetishes. They are very taboo and go against "social norms", so alot of artists won't ever go near them. There are artists who specialize in these niche fetishes, but the pool of artists is significantly smaller versus the amount of artists that draw general light or "vanilla" material/fetishes that are more widely accepted. That pool gets even smaller when you separate the good artists from the not so good artists. I find that the more "extreme" you get with a fetish, the more bad, low quality art exists of it. From my point of view, it is because these artists starting drawing their fetish(es) because they couldn't find or couldn't afford someone who would. Look around at the artwork that surrounds guro culture. You will find a great deal of poor quality artwork. Why is it bad? Because these artists generally put their fetish first, while actual drawing skill is second. Basically, running before learning how to walk. One must first learn the basics of how to draw, mastering the fundamental skills needed in order to draw well. Once you have done that, you can branch off and study how other things are drawn.

For every niche fetish, there are a small group of artists that really perform well. They excel at drawing a particular fetish. Every good artist that I have witnessed who draws a specific fetish has studied their fetish to a great degree. Those who draw hanging put detail into things like the noose and gallows, as well as how the character reacts when dropped. Those who draw vore put detail into things like the mouths of the characters that are eating the prey, as well as the victim being swallowed and digested. Those who draw characters getting slashed or shot put detail into how the blood splatters from the victim, as well as their reaction at the moment of impact. Those who draw gutting put detail into how the guts look and spill out of the character. The exposure to some of these hard fetishes (which I assume are from fictional sources, and not real life, but who knows) at a young age, while the artist is learning the basics of how the draw, will usually result in an artist that years later becomes a type of expert in their fetish. Both the "learning to draw" and "learning to draw [insert fetish here]" skills were developed at the same time. These types of artists, who excel in these niche fetishes, are praised and adored by those who share the same fetish(es) who cannot draw or draw poorly. They are coveted treasures among their fanbase, because to find someone who draws their particular niche fetish, and draws it well with a high level of detail, is a rare breed. Even with the ever growing amount of artists online these days, the amount of artists who draw [insert fetish here] and draw it well, remains small.

tl;dr: The more niche the fetish, the more low quality artwork surrounds it. That is why artists who have a high level of skill and draw these types of taboo subject matter stand out. They have the talent to draw anything, but they choose to draw [insert fetish here]. So the question among the crowd usually asked is "Why?". It is a polarizing issue for people who like the skills of a certain artist, but aren't necessarily into what they draw.
