Almost all old fairy tales>w< I've grew up mostly on slav fairy tales, where warriors slaughtered dragons and monsters or creepy things feasted on people who did something wrong. But damn, even in the Red Hood they cut open wolf's belly at the end>w> Old fairy tales were brutal.

About the countryside - well, we had a farm, and some animals on farms are for meat, you know>.>

>Why do you find it sad that it is your only gore fetish?

Because having a very niche fetish means that you have a very small art pool with this fetish. I don't enjoy hanging, stabbing, beheading, etc at all, but the most snuff arts are about those fetishes. That's why i've started to draw: if you can't find something - then do it yourself.

More over, i even don't like all types of gutting: i don't like rough or brutal things, i like when it's all going with love, so my fetish is even more niche>w<"

>It is clear to anyone that studies your artwork that you have put a lot of time into perfecting your craft

You need about a year or two to outrun me in arting. It wasn't a lot of time i've put in it, i'm lazy and slow.

This my nsfw account was born in gore, my goal of learning to draw was originally to draw gore, so i don't need to avoid/taboo gore in my galleries. And i find it like an achievement that now i have a lot of people who are not into gore but still watching my galleries.

Yes, a lot of good artists don't like gore. Just like people in general. And it's very good. A lot of people can't control themselves and better them not to be into extreme things.
But also yes, sadly there are artists, who actually are into gore, but they are ashamed of their kinks. It's bad and sad, but, well, it's up to them.

========================

Well, now i want to say about

>Basically, running before learning how to walk. One must first learn the basics of how to draw, mastering the fundamental skills needed in order to draw well. Once you have done that, you can branch off and study how other things are drawn.

Well yes and no. Ofc it's good to have an academy skills of drawing but me personally "run before learning to walk". There is one muuch more important thing: read and learn about all aspects of your activity and always look for references and learn from other's experience.
-look for references and fix your mistakes! It's ok to make mistakes but it's not ok to repeat them again and again. Hands/paws/proportions/face/hair/clothes/background - if you struggle with something or if you drew something and see that something wrong with it - find references and fix it or, at least, don't do the same mistake the next time. Yes, the next time there could be another mistakes - but it's ok, eventually you'll get rid from most of them.
-study other works you like. You have found a drawing with super cool looking eyes? - examine how it was drawn and try it the next time! Watch artstreams, read tutorials, examine other works, develop yourself and never stop on one point! And do it not only for things you like - do it for everything and get better in all parts!
-learn your tools. I see that a lot of digital artists just don't know how to use their software properly, how can they use tools, how to deal with graphics tablet, etc. "Waste" a hour or two to read about your tools, learn about it's features and it will save a lot of hours in the future and raise the quality of your work and will make your work more comfortable.

And it's not only about arting: if you have any hobby or any activity - read about it, search for information about it, learn more and never stop learning!

Draw what you like but learn more and more and eventually you'll become a very good artist. I still do a lot of mistakes but i'm trying to progress in arting every time i draw.
