Kiki wanted to learn more about how other worlds handled things like modularity, and Luka offered to help. Little did either of them expect a surprise visit from his old friend Mel.

You could say this is their attempt at demonstrating what Pokémon can do when mixing their moves with a modular. Looks like Mel, Kiki, and their respective bodies are having a lot of fun with the "experiment".
