Ever since Mariann's body Marie gained consciousness and higher cognitive abilities, she's no longer a mere assistant to her head Ann anymore. Marie has gained more independence and does more and more things on her own initiative, this to the annoyance of Ann who is quite helpless as just a head. Sometimes Marie feels bad about taking such advantage in her position, and wishes there was something she could do to give her sister the same kind of independence.

However, Marie is able to give Ann something her body could never give her before: sisterly love. Rather than Ann having to control her, Marie takes good care of her sister out of her own free will and kindness. She loves to hug her close to her chest, where she feels they're the closest they can be to each other without being connected. When apart, they often wear clothing that obscures their less than presentable body parts.

However, for the season, Mariann goes back to her family in Australia. Even though she's an alien, she grew up on Earth with all its traditions. And yes, that includes wearing a cheesy Christmas sweater, even during Australian summer. But hey, it's all silly fun you can have with family...
