Reine moved to Yorktown in 2012 with her mother because of her job as a magical researcher at one of the colleges, forcing Reine to change high schools until she graduated in 2014. In the summer of 2014, a job search lead to her getting mislead by a mysterious woman into a hidden alley where she was beheaded and left lost but alive. From there, her mother taught her how to use her magic to help her though her loss of senses and and complete her education at that very same college with some financial help from a sympathetic benefactor, whom she may very well owe a favor or few. There's no such thing as a free lunch, especially when it comes to matters of magic.

Though Reine would normally prefer to be nude in private for comfort (as her sense of touch is extremely sensitive) she will wear casual clothes in public for decency. However, her nudism is not intended as a sexual thing, and to suggest that is is "kinky" will offend her somewhat.

Side note, Right: Reine is permanently headless, but thanks to her mother's magical teachings, she can summon up a ghost head to see, hear, small and speak. It does not help her sensitive touch or let her taste, however.
