There was a Mayan goddess by the name of Ixtab (or Ix Tab), that is commonly held to be the goddess of suicides, specifically by hanging, and would accompany such suicides to heaven, acting as a psychopomp.

However there is no evidence hanging/suicide festivals or cults, and some even claim that Ixtab was not a suicide goddess at all, but a hunting goddess (so it'd be less nooses and more snare traps).
