Ah! This is true! I studied Japanese for a while many years ago (didn't keep up on it though) and I remember Kanji being a hell of a thing. Like, it could make interesting jokes or puns because you'd verbally say something very ambiguous, but the Kanji would make it clear what you said. Wish I could remember an example.

This is not obsessing (for me anyway) this is fun. Japanese is a *very* different language from English and subtly and nuance are often lost. I love finding out what didn't make it through translation. It can make a story so much more enjoyable.

Fuck, I was only translating the page where Onee-chan dies and it was tough! I wish I had kept up on the practice after learning what I did in school. 😭

The "do as you... please..." was really difficult. I got fragments of that. I got just enough out of my translation to know that "Do what you want" was not exactly wrong, but it was a bit off. I got out something like "Akira... do as Akira pleases/desires" or something rough like that.

Because I'm so horrendously out of practice I was using a mix of Jisho.org, Deepl.com, and some japanese alphabet references.

Speaking of which:
Deepl says that もっと前へ... means "Go back further" which doesn't make any sense. Jisho.org says that the kanji 前 means "in front" or "before" with "forward" being a specific noun meaning. My best guess is that Akira is saying "More... More before..." which makes sense to me since he next says "I can't anymore, big sister", cums, then cuts off his head. Like, he's holding back his orgasm as much as he can to enjoy fucking her body, then hits his limit.
