nah, i'm just a low iq autist, it seems. i've taken, and even excelled at computer programming courses, but i don't know enough about conventional programming to know how to deal with files, and so i know enough to know that there are multiple ways things could be done, but not enough to know how things are actually done. as a result, i always end up trying to figure out my own way of doing things when i program stuff which makes my code impossible for others to read. frankly, i suck at memorizing or figuring out convention in general, especially in regards to social skills. i've probably done this unpacking thing multiple times in the past, i just don't memorize things like that for some reason, and so i always end up needing to relearn how to do it. sorry.
