Yes there is Demonium 1 but I wasn't able to snatch that yet. From what I've seen It's similar but less complex in terms of strategy, more like a tower-defense. Both games were a huge success at the time but the developer dropped the strategy part in favor of VN. Maybe they were becoming to similar to Warcraft and other commercial games and someone didn't like it.
