Yes, you are right he isn't dead. He had a little problem at his job because of his little "hobby" and lauched the rumor about his death to escape eventual problems that could arise. It was something kinda liks Chalk's undoxing. After all he eventually quit that job and found another where people don't care that he makes quro works. So he made another pixiv account with fanbox and even goes by his real name. He also still makes small VN type games from time to time, that you can buy from him. I won't be pirating those because he is actually a nice guy and one of my long time favorites.
