"Despite most goblins still living as terrors and nuisances to human farmers and travelers, a great many have left their cavern dwelling clans to seek a new life in human society. Many humans still hold a grudge against goblin kind over lost land, cargo, or even loved ones. As a result they are not protected under the same laws as humans, elves, dwarves, and other intelligent species. Most serve essentially as slaves, owned by their employers and protected only by whatever fees it would cost to heal or replace an injured goblin servant.
Many female goblins work in taverns and bars as pleasure maids, using their shortstack bodies to tease and flaunt for tips. And of course, those that tip enough may garner the barmaids attention enough for a private one-on-one session in a private room. Despite not even living as citizens, a few get a bit too cocky from the positive attention and forget how little their lives are worth to the begrudging humans.
One such goblin barmaid was quite insulted by what she considered to be an unacceptable tip from a customer, despite her dedicated service. Only before her swift death did she realize how easily she could and would be replaced. Murdered casually in the public tavern without raising a fuss, her measly life was worth a only small fee of three gold coins. That was all it was worth to clean the blood from the wood floor and find another desperate, homeless, curvy goblin on the street to take her place. When the customer was satisfied desecrating her corpse for hours, she was dumped in an alley with the rest of the garbage to be forgotten."
