    end pic dump... for now.

I think the point is to post macabre art that is not explicit or for the purpose of sexual arousal. I'll let the mods decide on this thread, but I think it's pretty cool.
    >>
    >>16385

Seconded. A nice change of pace that may eventually (actually it already has) turn up some weird pics we might not otherwise ever see. Nice idea! ^v^
    >>
    So creepy, so awesome. ^_^
    >>
    >>16384
Which is for artists sharing their own artwork, not a general thread like this.
    >>
    >>16386
The two art threads on the old board were absolutely incredible, and are the main reason why I'm trying to start this up again. I found so many cool pictures in those threads and unfortunately I don't have most of them anymore.
if you have anything, please contribute!
    >>
    >>
    >>
for example, this is one from the old threads. i'm sure i've posted a couple others i found in them as well.

I didn't save anything from those threads or even the archives (meaning related). Eventually someone may come along who did, sees this thread, and share what they have. In the mean time, I may go looking for some weird art to contribute, as i really like this stuff lel. Thank you for reviving this subject/thread! ^v^

you're very welcome! ^_^ this is some of my favorite stuff too. I have LOADS to contribute but I don't want to dump it all at once.

Yeah, I'd pace myself on uploading too much at once; cool enough that this thread was allowed to not only stay up, but appears to be doing well! Years ago, a friend of mine started the original Western Comic Guro thread that, currently, Ultranonymous has brought to life again (on /g/). Anyone remembering that Epic thread might recall that someone (meh) kept posting Simon Bisley stuff lel. Well, here's two Bisley's; and two by Joe Vaux... ^v^

Shouldn't this be in /art/ board?
    >>
The /art/ board is for art that you have made yourself. This is for artistic-type guro that you have found. If I am not mistaken.
    >>
not exactly, because this art is from sources that are not the uploaders themselves, this thread existing in my opinion is pretty dumb, since it's so off-topic from the board, but hey, some of it is pretty macabre and dark so us mods don't exactly know what to do, so we're just leaving it be.

    Quite an impressive collection though.
    >>
    >>22360

Thanks for that. While I'm not OP, I'm pretty certain only he and I were into contributing up in. I'm an Admin/Mod at another chan and I would have left this thread up as well. Sure, it falls in-between, but checks OP's first...

"on the old site there were a number of art threads that had the most wonderful collection of pictures. i want to try and rebuild it.. with new additions as well. :) join me?"

Yes, there were. My feeling was like 'woah, you remember them too?" This is Legacy; let it stand. OK? Again, thanks for your Patience! ^v^
    >>
Well, please keep on posting as far as I'm concerned. This artwork is genius...

Here's one of my own, I'm quite new to drawing guro so my anatomy is probably off, but I love it so much, I'm pretty proud of this, but the arm on the right is really bugging me because of length and the hands aren't that good.

Hey Glitter, this is excellent. Maor please! ^v^

Seconding >>26742: thinks you maybe meant for this to appear in /art/ board. Post there with your orig art. But thanks for the contribution here anyway!

This thread is actually dedicated to found art that is Weird, Art-y, Dark, etc. but not necessarily gory...

Thanks for commenting. I'm not the OP, but I've posted a lot in this thread. I contributed the last four pictures above your post. As you can see, I've been trying to at least work the artist's name into the .jpg/.png title (if not the title name of the piece as well). I felt like if someone wants to investigate the artist's other stuff, a name is all you need. ^v^

Seriously, this guy is a really famous artist and /g/ as fug.

    >>>[interviewer] What does flesh represent to you?

    >>Francis Bacon:
    >Flesh and meat are life! If I paint red meat as I paint bodies it is just because I find it very beautiful. I don’t think anyone has ever really understood that. Ham, pigs, tongues, sides, of beef seen in the butcher’s window, all that death, I find it very beautiful. And it’s all for sale―how unbelievably surrealistic!
    >I often imagine that the accident that made man into the animal he has become also happened to other animals –lions or hyenas for example– while man remained a primate. It's bizarre. I have never read anything about it by Darwin or anyone else. Perhaps it's science fiction, but it's very interesting. I imagine men hanging in butchers shops for hyenas, who would be dressed in fur coats. The men would be hung by their feet, or cut up for stew or kebabs. We are all meat. All the inhabitants of this planet are made of meat. And most of them are carnivores. And when you fuck, it's a piece of meat penetrating another peace of meat. There is no difference between our meat and the meat of an ox or an elephant.
