Let me just say this now:
I
hate
grimdark stuff. Bloody violence disturbs me; torture for the sake of torture (especially of the graphic kind that landed several films on the "Video Nasties" list - that is, a list of films which were banned from video distribution in certain parts of the world in the 70s, 80s and 90s, due to scenes of graphic violence) turns me off.
These facts are a big part of why my characters use spells to seal the wounds (something I am very glad Dokariss included in their Sweetie Belle story, as it inspired my use of the same thing) and why they keep talking like nothing's wrong during the scenes of vivisection. The contrast keeps things interesting. (Also, in-universe, it helps to keep the harvestee calm, at least somewhat. Unless they're harvesting someone as punishment - then they make some of their comments to get the idea that it
is
a punishment through the victim's head.)
The closest I will come to straight torture is when I get to Trixie's story and they take the guy who was trying to arrest her on trumped-up charges, and start cooking him alive. (Oh, the look on his face when they slap his dick on a hot grill while it's still attached to him... I think that will be the most painful scene I'll ever write.)
On the other end of the spectrum, I
like
reading about a girl's willing sacrifice. (Part of why I like several of TheVisitorBlack's fics, like "Hotaru's Greatest Gift", "Apple Roasted Rainbow" or "Mimi's Cooking Show Presents!".)
I
like
scenes that imply and/or confirm that the victim will survive the whole experience and, potentially, get to do it again at some point (and the second half of
that
aspect will play a larger role when I get around to doing my Sunset vore story).
I
like
reading and writing about creative use of human meat in cooking, from whole roasting to dishes made from the victim's flesh. (As long as it stays in the realm of fantasy. Though use of real cooking methods - roasting, grilling, boiling, etc. - is fine. There's a series called "Dolcett CA", and the related "The Society of Lilith", where they use creative methods of cooking women.)
I like my porn to have a plot. (No, not the unusual euphemism, though that
is
also a part of such works - wink wink, nudge nudge.) Mindless sex and violence aren't that entertaining. Hence the worldbuilding I've been doing.
I like fics with incest. It's a fetish of mine, which is part of why Twilight started sleeping with her adoptive daughter after Liza turned eighteen, and why Dinky was so eager to hop into her mother's bed when
she
came of age. And the Applejack/Big Macintosh pairing that was shown in Apple Bloom's story? That's going to be a factor in a later story.
I like same-sex (well, female same-sex) pairings. Which will also be involved in this series. (Twilight's never been with a man - all of her lovers are women. Of the rest of her closest friends, Applejack is the only one whose permanent lover is male. The rest prefer their own gender.)
And while there are some... slightly creepy aspects to the whole situation (which I actually lampshaded back when the Starlight golem was introduced), the idea that cutting someone up like this is a normal part of everyday life, and the contrast between that and life as we know it, makes for an interesting story.
All of these ideas are, and always have been, a major part of the guro and/or cannibalism writing I've done. They feature in a lot of what I prefer to read and view. And they will continue to be a part of this series (and any others) as long as I'm writing for them.
Now, I'm off to go write about Twilight and Liza harvesting Adagio Dazzle and Aria Blaze of the Sirens. I've already written the setup for the story - now we're into the actual guro scenes. Adagio's getting her wings/fins cut out! (Insert evil grin here.) And yes, I will try to include more details as to how they're carving her (and later Aria) up. (I'll admit, that's something of my weak point when it comes to writing these stories, though hopefully I'm improving.)
