It went... mostly well. About twenty hours of heavy lifting, stairs, and lectures. Sadly, I wasn't aware of the stomach flu that my little ones had gladly shared with me before leaving, so I spent most of Sunday driving across two states visiting every single fucking rest stop along the way. :)

I also enjoyed a day of being healthy before some coworker decided to share their plague with me, so I'm sick again.

Now, that isn't the reason I haven't posted yet and I probably won't this week. The real reason is that I'm enjoying the one weekend every six months where I don't have to deal with children or spouse for 72 hours. And, I'm enjoying it by ignoring my obligations for this weekend only.

Next weekend, I get the children by myself all weekend which means the chance of posting is slim, but not impossible. The weekend after that, I will be posting if not double-posting to catch up. (I also owe two people commissions, which is what I'll be doing every weekday night next week.)

As for what I'm doing this weekend (while not writing), it might be applicable. I'm trying to create a proof of concept for a computer game kind of like Corruption of Champions or Kingdom of Loathing that has guro scenes, amputation, and naturally cannibalism. I'm hoping to have a working POC by end of Monday but we'll see. If I get past a certain point, I can work on it in piecemeal but I need the 72 hours to get through the major initial roadblocks to see if the idea is even viable.
