I'm glad you both were able to enjoy it. I do try to leave ages non-specific, so someone with a specific age preference can project what they most like onto the characters.

You could copy/paste the text into a text editor, then search/replace the terms 'man' and 'men' with 'boy' and 'boys'. It would probably only take a minute or two, and it might help you enjoy the story more.
