And very rarely do anime/game characters look their age, either. Like you can't convince me Delthea from Echoes is actually 13, and Pokemon characters being 10? It's all so arbitrary in this kind of media. Hell, Bravely Default aged the whole class of characters up in localization, but they didn't change their appearance.
