I had an idea once about a sort of party complex where lots of children like to celebrate their birthdays but instead of bowling or a movie the activites on offer are fatal to the birthday girl/boy - they can choose to be cooked and eaten, turned into a statue as described, stuffed like Dinah or any number of other "Fun, life-concluding activities".
