Basically most of your stories tend to have a lot of buildup. One could say, the main part of your story IS the buildup, as the background makes your persons feel alive. So feel free, to flesh out whatever you like to write about. But also don't feel obligated to write something, you don't feel inspired to write about.
But for me, the finale is just a part of the story, the interesting is the behaviour of the girls, knowing, teir destiny is fixed, and they are basically just meat now.
