(part 2/2 due to apparently still low character limit)

No, wonderful couldn’t even begin to describe it. It felt so good that if the afterlife happened to exist, the twins could have bet that no matter how infinite was the bliss that awaited in heaven, even the whole eternity of it could not possibly compare to this single instant they were currently sharing with each other. And it wasn't just a figure of speech: they were so confident that they would have actually accepted such a bet even if the punishment for losing was to rot in hell. But of course, for a bet to be fair, the reward for the case of the twins’ undoubtable win must have been something as appealing as hell is dreadful. So surely the only such thing could be heaven, as even if inferior to their current experience, it was still the best thing they could ask for… not as far as the twins themselves were concerned! Instead they would have wished from the bottom of their heart to reject any form of afterlife whatsoever and let their existence really end for good. Indeed, continuing to be, no matter in what form, would have ruined the whole significance of trusting each other with their death. So even if the twins went all smart about it and asked for the pleasure of this moment to last, the very persistence of it would have spoilt that same pleasure. And now that would’ve been more dreadful than any hell!

Luckily, the twins didn’t really have any such concerns, as they didn’t believe in afterlife anyway. In fact, seeing how having a literal immortal soul would have devalued the whole idea, if they really believed in it they wouldn’t be committing this double suicide in the first place. But as for a figurative soul… Even though the twins’ physical bodies were properly clothed and weren’t touching each other anywhere apart from Rin holding Len’s hand, nothing could describe how they felt better than saying their very souls were cuddling in the nude.

After all, they were casting their lives away as if they were just as meaningless as clothes, and what else did it make their souls but bare naked, unclad by earthly existence. And if killing themselves was what it took to put their souls in this most natural and most beautiful form that was nudity, then it was all worth it just for a chance to admire such beauty. But the twins did more than admire, they have put trust in each other, the most full and unconditional trust possible, so that was the cuddling of souls. And ever since they shared their mom’s womb, the twins surely loved some quality cuddling!

Yet, as much practice as the twins had in cuddling, naked or otherwise, this particular instance easily topped all of it combined. It was more delicate than any physical embrace, as the twins were touching each other not with their corporeal bodies, but only with their intangible souls. And at the same time it was more intense than any physical embrace, as the twins were touching not each other’s corporeal bodies, but each other’s very exposed souls. Even if they didn’t believe in the supernatural, it certainly felt fantastic, so the twins were infinitely grateful to each other for the trust that let them experience this.

Truly there could be no end to expressing just how overjoyed the twins were. But perhaps the most beautiful thing was how all of these paragraphs worth of feelings in reality lasted for only a single fleeting moment. Just like the twins’ very special kiss they shared exclusively with each other, which meant to express such delicate tenderness that they parted lips before they could feel them touch. But even that couldn’t compare to the tenderness of this double suicide, as unlike the kiss it wouldn’t even leave an aftertaste. Because the very next instant their bodies were mercilessly crushed by the train with the desperate screeching of its breaks accompanying the ensuing commotion in the crowd. And so, before Len’s lips could even finish forming a smile, all of his and his sister’s delight abruptly stopped along with their lives.

This briefest flash of enjoyment cost the twins everything, and the very act of paying such the highest price made the whole thing worth nothing by leaving no one to value it. And the twins wouldn’t have had it any other way. They were most happy to indulge themselves to a pleasure so truly momentary, that not only the pleasure itself existed for a mere wink of an eye, but it even ended the twins’ own existence, ensuring that it wouldn’t last even as a memory. The most wonderful experience the twins gave their lives for was now even more wonderfully gone along with those lives. It perfectly disappeared from the world forever, as neither the thorough police investigation nor the twins’ mom and friends would ever figure out why they did what they did and what was going on in their minds in their last moment. Even though there was really nothing complicated about it at all. For the name of that pleasure was nothing else but simple trust.
