I was watching Hemlock Grove(first season is good, the others not) where someone mentioned that the owner of a mansion had a stable of(I think?) magnificent, well-bred horses. After he died, his wife had them slaughtered. Got me thinking; A commercial meat plant where loads of slaves, plain-looking at best, maybe dumb, maybe worn-out workers go to be efficiently made into food. But one of them is different. Gorgeous with a perfect body, highly intelligent, fit for long-term companionship to the most discerning masters. How did she end up here?
