Oh, no i don't mean that it is about saving money on food, just that it makes no sense to cut off the leg then reattach protesic for the reason because it was cut off.
That's pretty stupid.

It could be much better if that were done for aesthetic purposes or some amputee fetish or even some can just cut of their legs or hands just to get nice protesic replacement, maybe some advertisement for medical company etc.
But not to undo what was done few minutes ago.
