Yeah, I guess a festival setting for the entertainment of the guests would be different from dying for one's own fun, but anyway an art setting would be different from both of them because the point in it is that death is viewed more like art than entertainment. Although I guess art can be viewed as a form of entertainment too, so let me phrase it differently... here, I looked up the definition of art in Wikipedia and it seems to be fitting: "... involving creative imagination to express technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas". So then the point of death as art setting would be that the point of viewing such works of art wouldn't be just "for fun", but to admire the work's beauty, admire the technical proficiency of the artist, and take in the emotions or ideas conveyed through this work. For example a certain picture comes to my mind where there was a beheaded girl with flowers put like they were growing out of her neck. If I had to describe it in one word, "beautiful" would come to my mind before "fun". Or there was another picture with a pair of girls who looked like twins, and each had an eye pulled out, still connected with the nerves, and those nerves were intertwined. Or something like that, I'm sure it was in my guro folder somewhere but I don't keep it sorted, so finding a particular picture is too much bother. Anyway the point is that picture conveys more the idea of togetherness rather than fun. That's the kind of art I'm talking about. Of course a work of art can among other emotions convey fun as well, but do it as a work of art does (arranging a body into a composition that looks fun) rather than in a plain "brutal death = fun" way. Makes sense?
