Not after I kept continuously repeating through the whole duration of Black Ice how much fun it is that this very fun isn't even going to be experienced by anyone, themselves included, and how this unsulliedness by being experienced is making it the most pure form of fun. Or to put it in your terms, the twins have realized that the most fun form of trolling is trolling their own selves. Dying for nothing IS what they're dying for. It's a paradox, and a paradox is the highest form of humor.
But if you have to blame someone, it actually so happened that it was Eterya who once accidentally triggered this idea in my mind, and now I can't stop with it, because this idea is by its nature a feedback loop (death is fun -> can't experience fun when dead -> that's what makes it so fun).
