Ruby dipped her toe in the pool thoughtfully. Yeah, it was the perfect temperature, not too hot and not too cold. Flashing a smile for the observing cameras, she pulled off her clothing until finally she carefully dropped her underwear on the floor last, sat down and dropped into the pool gently.

She then dove, until she found the handcuffs on the floor. She slid her wrists into them, and puled until the cuffs clicked, locking her into them securely.

Now just to wait, Ruby thought and started internally debating over whether she should try to hold her breath as long as possible or just inhale water on purpose. Not that she'd be able to last long either way, the vertigo had already started and her lungs were burning... and with her hands in cuffs, there was no way she would even be able to get herself off as another part of her body burned as well, in a more metaphorical sense.

Well, there was nothing for it now. Nothing ventured, nothing killing you slowly and painfully.
