I remember it but don't have it - it was called "Evelina's Redemption". The author also wrote one about a girl killed by accident who the family decide to eat for Thanksgiving rather than waste and a family of butcher's on an island where meat is scarce who end up offering their younger daughter for sale, leading to cannibalism being adopted as the norm by the community.
