There are shows of sorts, maybe completely open to the public, where the 'performers' ask for a volunteer from the audience or gathered crowd to come and allow them to kill her. But this part is secretly staged; The ones picked were always arranged to be there, contracted by the organizers with the necessary legal procedures followed and maybe payment for their family arranged. They can't just kill a random person approaching them, even consensually. Still, girls in the audience usually raise their hand... Would they really follow through with it if chosen? How often do they expect to? Maybe one time there's a misunderstanding when the arranged girl doesn't arrive, and an audience member is actually picked.
