For what it's worth, I really enjoyed your stories. Comparing yourself to other writers is not a particularly useful thing to do. Maybe, in your opinion, you didn't manage to capture the sense of 'fun' in Hyde's stories, but that doesn't mean that your stories hold any less value. In my opinion you created your own niche with a lot of semi-cons themes that I personally really enjoy. As for horror - I don't see your stories as that at all. Squunch's writing is horror, yours not really. It's still guro, but it's all quite happy-go-lucky as far as I'm concerned.

About your conscience writing stories like this, you're not the only writer, or artist, to struggle. It's personal decision and I respect and completely understand it.
