While I agree with that, it is a bit in his nature to do it at this point. Edward is very creative in the things that he writes. The majority of the time, when a wip has been seemingly abandoned, it's simply because he had another idea for another story while he was writing that one. The wip is put aside in favor or starting the new idea while still fresh, and by the time that story has neared its end, he's had another idea.
He doesn't stop working on his now older stories on purpose even if it may seem like it at this point. He may come back to them at some point, but I don't want to put words in his mouth and say anything definitive on that.
